  COUNTRY

Thanks to movies like Paris, Texas and Badlands the U.S. has been a great inspiration to me early on in life. To take pictures while traveling through the states has always been something I wanted to do. In 2011 I chose to do so, without needing a visa, driver’s license or any type of funds.

I would explore and document the country at my own pace, focusing on states, cities and towns that I’m oblivious to. I found that I didn’t even have to use my camera or cross a border. Every ‘photograph’ I took was made through Google Street View.

"It led me to question what makes a photograph a photograph?"

Every image would go through the same proces as with a ‘regular photograph’ I’d took; composing, editing, sorting. The only difference was this time I’d make a screenshot in stead of pressing the shutter button.
